O.I.L. { holiday cookies }

We are O.I.L. (officially in love), overwhelmed and completely overjoyed to be so close to the holidays, one of the best time to bake up a storm!  Cookies and cakes, who are we kidding, all desserts should be their own food group! We’ve said this before and will say it again!  There is nothing more comforting than a home with the fireplace lit, holiday music on in the background the smell of freshly baked homemade cookies…woopie pies, checkered board cookies and peppermint meringues are a few of our favorite things!  Ahhh, so here’s to one of the most delicious time of the year… we hope you find a way to make is luxuriously delicious!

Holiday Shopping TIP #3! ( 3 of 5)

What comes to mind when you think of the holidays?  Family?  Presents?  Long lines at your local mall? Decadent sweets…yes, all of that is true and more!  This is why our next holiday shopping tip (#3)  has to be these three simple words: REST. REJUVINATE. RECHARGE.  How many of you have come down with the flu this time of year when so much is expected of you, or exhausted all of your energy reserves to get that last-minute gift,  sometimes the pressure of the holidays is just too, too much!  So, this is why we’re turning over a new leaf and going to try something new this year!  You can join us in liberating yourself from all the holiday hoopla and succumb to what the holidays are really all about: PEACE. LOVE. GOOD CHEER.  We’re going to challenge ourselves to step outside of our comfort zone and make some precious time just for ourselves, curled up in bed with the highest thread count sheets we can find, a hot cup of fragrant herbal tea and make this holiday season one that includes giving back to ourselves. If not you, then who? If not now, then when?
