By definition the word brilliant refers to a striking, distinctive brightness. Brilliant people are those who stand for something larger than themselves. They also shine a light beyond themselves and radiate in the most beautiful way.
We are beyond grateful for those who can see the best in everything and everyone while maintaining their light.
Keeping your workspace, kitchen or closet organized can be as simple as designating a day to it. There’s no right or wrong, but this is what works for us! Mondays are for tidying up the bedroom closet area, putting away those items that belong on hangers, hooks or drawers. Tuesday is for the office area. Filing paperwork that needs to be put in it’s correct folder, filling up supplies, watering the office plants, emptying the trash and so on. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are in no particular order for laundry, living room, patios and kitchen/pantry.
Typically, if you assign a room or area a day, everything still gets done but in a more deliberate way.
“Love is the greatest force in the universe. It is the heartbeat of the moral cosmos. He who loves is a participant in the being of God.”
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”
“If we are to have peace on earth, our loyalties must become ecumenical rather than sectional. Our loyalties must transcend our race, our tribe, our class, and our nation; and this means we must develop a world perspective.”
With so many artistic cake designers crafting hyper realistic cakes these days, we thought it would be fun to showcase some of these “fake or cake” creations!
As the old saying goes, “Don’t judge a book by its cover!”
Breakfast, or as some say, break fast, is one of the most important meals of the day. After sleeping for eight hours or more, the body needs fuel from whole food sources within one hour of waking. Loaded breakfast bowls are a quick and delicious way to start your day off right.
Starting with your favorite fruit, fresh or frozen, add 1 cup of Greek yougart, 1 teaspoon of honey, a squeeze of lemon and your favorite protein powder. Combine in a blender until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with sliced strawberries, blueberries, chia seeds and granola. Additionally, shredded unsweetend coconut is fantastic sprinkled on top! With the protein from the Greek yougart and protein powder, this delicious breakfast bowl satisfies and helps you to feel satiated until your next meal. The yougart can be omitted for those sensitive to dairy.

Clean beauty starts with even cleaner water: Filtered showerheads reduces contaminants, heavy metals, and other chemicals in shower water a filtration system. Most filters layered ingredients consist of copper and zinc shavings, plus calcium sulfite balls to remove chlorine, with the aim of cleaner skin and softer, shinier hair. Installation on most filters are fairly simple, just take off your old showerhead, make sure the filter (which is typically good for three months or so) is installed in the neck of the filter and twist it on. You’ve now transformed your shower! Our favorite part? They don’t compromise water pressure—and some of them have the feel of a heavy rainfall (of the purest water.)
P.s. There are many filters on the market, we recommending searching around to see which one fits your needs and budget best!
One of our favorite ways to decompress after the holidays is to treat ourselves to a relaxing spa day. On the spa “menu” there are so many types of treatments to choose from. We love the whole experience of getting into a clean, cozy cotton robe, sliding our feet into our slippers and pouring ourselves a cup of herbal tea. Making our way over to the sauna, steam room and showers, we strolled past the snack station and saw what they were offering; dried mangos and unsalted pecans. The best part is yet to come, as we await to hear our name called out by our massage therapist.
Finding time before or after any hectic time of the year to schedule a self-care day is a loving and compassionate way to take care of your body, mind and soul.
