Classic Style Tips (our top 5!)

Here are a few of our favorite all time classic, tried and tested, style tips!

1.)  Wearing White? Seek Out Light!  Keep in mind: White clothes always look more see-through in daylight. Check yourself out in a bright setting to be safe.

2.)  When in Doubt, Wear Nude Pumps!  Matched to your skin tone, they’re a pretty safe bet.  And they make legs look longer!

3.)  Keep an Open Mind.  Always take one “it’s cute but so not me” thing into the fitting room. You never know!

4.)  Touch the Inside.  A garment’s lining is often a designer’s calling card, and a good way to judge quality. A well-crafted lining is a sign that the whole piece has been sewn with care.

5.)  Layer Your Necklaces.  Coco Chanel‘s more-is-more approach still makes a statement today. You can do multiples of the same material, or better yet, go for contrast: Try a femme piece with edgy chains, feathers with beads, or pearls with diamantés. Have a fabulous Monday!

INSPIRED…

Prada Spring 2012

Being that we are passionate about all things FASHION, we wanted to share with you one of our latest INSPIRATIONS…the latest and greatest looks from Prada.  We’re swept away by the vibrant colors, textures, and mixing and matching of fabrics.  Just like we enjoy doing with our jewelery collections, they’re doing it here with an elegant vintage flair…

Back in the day, it was customary for women to wear proper hats, gloves and skirts that fell below the knee…this look is reminiscent of that time, and we LOVE it!

Our hats off to the season if it’s going to look anything like this…XO ~ TD

L@@K What We Just Found!

As you know by now,  we’re lovers of the CUFF!  Fashion icons who’ve very stylishly worn cuffs throughout the years carry some serious fashion weight.

A few we should mention: Diana Vreeland who was a legendary editor who wore cuffs on each wrist,  and another was Standard Oil heiress Millicent Rogers who loved them in turquoise, we would assume wearing them as a way to shield herself metaphorically.  Last but not least, let’s not forget Wonder Woman!

These are a few of our newest favorites, including a few of our own!

L@@K What We Just Found!

The beach is often a place we go to get grounded, centered and calm. It’s hard to beat walking barefoot in the sand, while watching the sun slowly drop below the horizon.  The other day, we found part of what looked like a fossil partially buried in the wet sand.  As I brushed off the seemingly delicate, fragmented bit of rock, I realized how amazing earth’s natural process is, and wondered how long this must have taken to form.

When we got back to the office, we found this striking fossil necklace designed by Kelly Wearstler. We came to discover that the fossil she’s used here is of a real fossilised squid…how cool is that!  We also appreciate her use of muted metals and clean design in her gun-metal cuff…a bit of an industrial feel, which we love since it’s understated and edgy.

We also have included our “Echo” cuff in a similar shade of gun-metal with rhinestones $24 @ www.tresorsdeluxe.webs.com.  We wear one on each wrist, and it’s a easy way to look sleek and chic…xxxxx

L@@K What We Just Found!

From time to time, we’re thrown off track when we find something that knocks our socks off (just an expression!), and we wouldn’t be able to sleep at night unless we did the right thing, and share it with YOU!

Here at Tre’sors De Luxe, we appreciate art in many forms, so when we saw Michael Aram’s accessories, not only were we inspired,  we were also instantly in LOVE. The fact that he uses nature to inspire him is one of our reasons for appreciating his work the way we do.

We’ve attached a select few of his amazing pieces so take a look and let us know what you think!

Maybe we LOVE his work because it’s reminiscent of some of what we carry at www.tresorsdeluxe.webs.com  and maybe because he’s Armenian? Or maybe because he’s beyond talented that we couldn’t take it any longer?!?

You’re welcome!
