If you haven’t seen any of Nancy Meyers films, you’re going to be in for a real treat when you do! The Holiday, It’s Complicated & Something’s Gotta Give are just a few of her writer, producer and director credits, and they happen to some of the most functional, comfortably designed sets we’ve seen! She has a distinct asthetic that is reflective of a relaxed, effortlessly chic lifestyle, and then can turn a little English cottage into a dreamy retreat most would swoon over.
Her films are full of warm, inviting spaces in a laid~back Californian charm. These enviable spaces were graced by Cameron Diaz, Meryl Streep, Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton, just to name a few.
Here are a few examples of why Hollywood keeps calling her back!
Occasionally we’re stopped in our tracks when we discover a find so fabulous, that everything else comes to a screeching hault…well, it’s happened again! If you’re not familiar with the name, Dr. Andrew Weil M.D., you’re in for a treat. You may have seen his name on the Origins skin care line, or the spa~rific, Miraval Resort in Tucson, Arizona! Oprah and her best friend, Gale stayed there for a weekend, and became familiar with Dr. Weils integrative wellness program there. It’s worth YouTube~ing, let’s just leave it at that!
Dr. Weil is one of the most advanced doctors of his kind…he specializes in balanced living, aging gracefully, the “Anti-Inflammatory Diet,” and now…restaurants! Have you ever been conflicted when choosing what to order, trying to find a balance between flavor and feeling satisfied? We have! It’s becoming more and more difficult finding healthy options when dining out, without sacrificing flavor! Dr. Weil decided to take everything he knew and create the most fabulous, addicting and non~guilty pleasure, eatery we’ve stumbled across in a long time!
Here are a few of his most notoriously famous dishes…
Strawberry Gelato with blueberries
Grass Fed Bison Burger with Kale Salad and Sweet Potato Hash

He has locations in Arizona and Southern California as of now, but we hear there are plans to expand in the very near future! For those of you who live at a distance, we want so badly for you to understand our obsession with Dr. Weil’s dishes, so we’ve included his famous, Chocolate Pudding recipe here for you to try!
In a large pot, combine cocoa, cornstarch and sugar. Mix with a whisk and slowly pour in 3 cups of soy milk. Mix until smooth paste forms. Add remaining soy milk once all of the lumps are gone. Place over medium high heat and continue to stir until it simmers and thickens. Remove pot from heat and continue to stir for 2 more minutes. Add chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon and whisk to combine and strain through a fine chinois. Cover with plastic wrap on top to keep a skin from forming. Chill 4 hours.

We’ve been wanting to discuss one of the singular most famous architects of the 19th and 20th century, the one and only Antonio Gaudi, for quite some time now. He now has become an international superstar whose work continues to inspire audiences throughout the world, and whose name evades very few!
Born in Reus, in Catalonia, he graduated in Barcelona in 1878 and this city became the center of his world. One important aspect is his capacity as designer. This led him to create all those elements making up architectural space – wrought iron, furniture, stained glass, sculptural work, mosaics, ceramics and so on – within an organic and gothic concept of decoration and with the integration of these elements into the construction process. The sea landscape was one of his most preferred inspirations, which is evident from the constant movement his shapes and angles.
We feel compelled to share just a few of our favorite living and breathing works of art with YOU, so you can see why we’re O.I.L. with this gothic mastermind and visonary…Mr. Antonio Gaudi.
