When I was invited to do a guest post at this delightful site of Trésors De Luxe, the first word that came to my mind to share about was BEAUTY. This site is all about beauty and I am all about raising our level of joy, and beauty and joy are wonderfully interrelated.

Along with the first thoughts we think as we wake and the thoughts we contemplate as we close our eyes at night, are the images we see. Have we tidied the bedside table and left ourselves a glass of water for when we wake? Have we kept the scary books away from our bedside and instead chosen art books with images of nature or statues or paintings? Have we chosen artwork for our walls that inspires us?

The very first thing we see when we open our eyes helps set the tone for our entire day. And this is not about money, for a bedside table can consist of a stack of books or a sturdy box, art books can be borrowed from the library, and artwork for our walls can be as accessible as our neighbourhood thrift store or an up-and-coming local artist, as long as the piece touches our heart and makes us feel good to look at it.

 Please consider these excerpts from Thomas Moore’s ‘Care of the Soul’:

“Care for our actual homes… however humble is also care of the soul. No matter how little money we have, we can be mindful of the importance of beauty in our homes.”

“Every day we will find moments when the soul glimpses an occasion for beauty, if only passing a store window and stopping for a second to notice a beautiful ring or an arresting pattern in a dress.”

“If we are going to care for the soul, and if we know that the soul is nurtured by beauty, then we will have to understand beauty more deeply and give it a more prominent place in life.”

“An appreciation for beauty is simply an openness to the power of things that stir the soul.”

 Let us acknowledge the importance of beauty and bring it into our surroundings. Let us nurture and care for the soul by choosing artwork for our walls and tables that inspires and uplifts. And let us remember to have hyacinths, or any flowers, on our bedside or kitchen tables to allow their beauty to help feed our soul.

What brought you WordPress?

WordPress is, with due respect to other blog services, in my opinion the best, this is supported by the fact that many, much attention has been paid to its clients, through technical assistance, and other forms of cooperation with the bloggers! Particularly fascinated me, that some calm and brilliant, and very wide range, high quality blogs. All in all, an excellent blog service and much more!

What inspires you?

The  beauty of the human soul and generosity of heart with people of good will.

What lessons have you learned in life that you would like to share?

Many things, but here briefly. Something related to the broad scope of the blog as a medium to make friends, writing a blog I realized the truth that I want to share with you, the blog and knows no boundaries, no physical or spiritual, the blog I have met many people of different fate, selfless giving, but also more received, he became a true friend to people, socialized with many. Had a bad experience and caution is certainly necessary, but the friends that I met writing my blog are real people, although virtual, are people of good heart and noble soul, and no way I’d changed, even for some real!
