Four ways to wear a miniskirt
A shirt. A pant. The basics of how we dress most often start with a piece that can be worn a multitude of ways. Most of us have closets full of enough basics:  denim, tees and shorts to clothe a small bustling city. The point is that unless we’re we are wearing the clothes, the clothes wear us! They sit around, lingering, staring at us, mocking us almost! Lol. Seriously, these pieces are weighing us down, so do we keep us the façade or do something about it?!?
We wanted to show you a few fun ways of turning your everyday pieces into a multitude of looks, without spending a fortune!
By starting with a basic beige skirt, be it a pencil, tulip or A-line, you are embarking on a journey through the dark and into the light. Here comes the fun part! Sift through your blouses, tanks and cardigans and pair them as you like with the guide (above) as a reference.  We love the multipurpose-ability of basics and how they can blossom like a unexpected ray of light!  Look how many exciting ways you can transform this look.  Now add jewelry like our fun and flirty Indie bracelets for your finishing touch, like a cherry on top of a sundae and you’re ready to take on the world!

Classic Style Tips (our top 5!)

Here are a few of our favorite all time classic, tried and tested, style tips!

1.)  Wearing White? Seek Out Light!  Keep in mind: White clothes always look more see-through in daylight. Check yourself out in a bright setting to be safe.

2.)  When in Doubt, Wear Nude Pumps!  Matched to your skin tone, they’re a pretty safe bet.  And they make legs look longer!

3.)  Keep an Open Mind.  Always take one “it’s cute but so not me” thing into the fitting room. You never know!

4.)  Touch the Inside.  A garment’s lining is often a designer’s calling card, and a good way to judge quality. A well-crafted lining is a sign that the whole piece has been sewn with care.

5.)  Layer Your Necklaces.  Coco Chanel‘s more-is-more approach still makes a statement today. You can do multiples of the same material, or better yet, go for contrast: Try a femme piece with edgy chains, feathers with beads, or pearls with diamantés. L@@K What We Just Found!

Madonna's "Truth or Dare" fragrance by Coty

Just when we thought she’d done it all…Madonna has just launched her very 1st fragrance, “Truth or Dare.”  From what we’re hearing, she’s getting rave reviews!  Tuberose and Gardenia are pretty much front and center, followed by subtle notes of Vanilla & Amber… so all you Tuberose lovers, you’re in LUCK!

Top Notes      NeroliGardeniaTuberose

Middle Notes jasmineBenzoinlily

Base Notes     MuskamberVanille

My mother inspired the fragrance,” said the pop icon. “One memory I have of her scent is from when I was young and I snuck into my parents’ bedroom to sleep. She always smelled like gardenias!”  She goes onto say, “I have always been obsessed by fragrance and for years wanted to create something personal that was an expression of me, but that other people could relate to as well. Something classical and timeless and yet modern. My oldest memory of my mother is her perfume. I carry it with me everywhere. She always smelled like gardenias and tuberose, an intoxicating mixture [that was] feminine and mysterious. I wanted to re-create this scent, but with something fresh and new about it as well.

We also must give credit where credit is due, and mention how fabulous her bottle design is, clean white with silver and gromets from head to toe. Did we mention we’re lovers of the GROMET!

Are we the only one’s who see a cross in her logo? Subtle, no?
