The other day, we purchased an electric countertop ice maker. We’re firm believers that when it’s hot, you can never have enough ice! It doesn’t replace the ice maker in the freezer, but it allows for our favorite water of choice to be used for our triple filtered ice cubes, when we fancy it.
Let’s just say, it might have been the best decision we made this summer. We stored the purified ice cubes in freezer bags and have been using them in our iced coffee. The freezer can add a unwanted taste to ice, but not when they’re stored this way.
